Taipei, Taiwan (August 16, 2010)—AAEON (TAIEX: 2463), a premier Industrial PC manufacturer, has unveiled an eco-friendly solution that belongs to AAEON’s Green Embedded Systems product line, called GES-3300F.  The difference between the first Green Embedded Controller (GES-1100F) and the new Green Embedded Controller (GES-3300F) is simply the processor.

 

The GES-3300F adopts the Intel^® Celeron^® M processor with two 240-pin DDR2 400/533/667 DIMM (up to 4GB) system memory.  It features the Intel^® 945GME and ICH7M chipset to provide high performance and consists of two Gigabit Ethernets for faster network communications.  It is also equipped with one 2.5” Hard Disk Drive bay with SATA II interface and one CompactFlash to offer ample storage.

 

“This Green Embedded System is certified by ENERGY STAR.  ENERGY STAR is an international standard for energy-efficient electronic equipment and is created by the U.S. Environment Protection Agency (EPA).  The GES-3300F is compliant with ENERGY STAR regulations,” said Curtis Lai, Product Manager of AAEON’s Industrial System Division.  “In practicing eco ideas, the GES-3300F shows green concepts, such as adopting low power consumption processors, green manufacturing, and environmentally-friendly packaging to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions.  The GES-3300F represents the next generation of products developed by AAEON.”
