AAEON Premieres a New Rugged Tablet Computer: RTC-1000i

Taipei, Taiwan (December 21, 2011)—AAEON, a premier industrial PC company, is proud to premiere a new rugged tablet computer: RTC-1000i. This unit features the Intel® Core™ i7 processor and Intel® HM55/QM57 Express chipset and is a viable option for all your rugged tablet needs.
The RTC-1000i has an onboard DDR3 SODIMM with an optional 6GB memory. There is a 2.5" SATA Hard Disk Drive for storage and multiple I/O ports (one COM port, two USB2.0 ports, one mini USB port, one VGA port, two internal Mini cards, one SIM, one PCMCIA/Smart Card and one CompactFlash™ or SDHC port) for broader options. The RTC-1000i also utilizes one Gigabit Ethernet for high-speed internet connection.
"The RTC-1000i has anti-shock and anti-vibration properties that are well-suited for any type of rugged environment," affirmed Peter Yang, Product Manager of AAEON's Rugged Mobile Division. "The RTC-1000i is MIL-STD-810G-516.6 for the ultimate drop-test within rugged environments and has an operating temperature from -20~60 degrees Celsius to function within virtually any environment. The RTC-1000i also supports optional Wi-Fi, Bluetooth®, 3G and GPS functions for more user options." Yang added.
For additional flexibility, the RTC-1000i offers Windows® Embedded Standard 2009, Windows® Embedded Standard 7, and Linux for multiple OS support. Water-proof and dust-proof properties make the RTC-1000i ideal for any application within the embedded market.
