Taipei Taiwan (March 20, 2009)--AAEON, the premier Industrial PC manufacturer, announces the EMB-6908T, a new embedded motherboard adopting the AMD M690E chipset. Exceptional performance and low power consumption are just two of the key features of the EMB-6908T with AMD M690E chipset. 

The EMB-6908T supports AMD’s Athlon (AM2 socket) processor which when paired with the AMD M690E + SB600 chipset offers a high performance computing platform with low power consumption.  This new product supports two 240-pin DDRII DIMMs in a dual channel configuration at speeds of 533/667. Up to 4GB can be installed and ECC capable processors are available for greater system stability. The EMB-6908T can  be optionally configured with up to 128MB of side-port memory, a dedicated frame buffer memory which can improve performance while  reducing power by allowing the CPU to remain in its lowest power state while refreshing the screen from the side-port memory.  Four SATA ports and one IDE interface provide ample storage. With dual Gigabit Ethernet, six COM ports, 10 USB2.0, one IrDA port, one parallel port and up to 16 in or 16 out GPIO, the EMB-6908T meets the requirements of today’s demanding applications.

Display requirements are met with an abundance of interfaces such as CRT, up to 24-bit dual-channel LVDS LCD, and DVI. Simultaneous / Dual View is available in LCD/CRT, LCD/DVI, CRT/DVI configurations. Display memory is shared from the system memory up to 256MB and the side –port configured model (TF-EMB-6908T-A12-01) further improves upon the system performance. Rounding out the multimedia capabilities is a High Definition 5.1CH audio interface.
