This board is based on AMD GX466/500 and (optional) /533.  It is designed to provide the ideal combination of low power, high performance and widely expanded interfaces, while maintaining a small size for applications that require a small form factor and minimal processor support. The PCM-5893 / PCM-5893L utilizes an AMD GX2 processor which is RoHS compliant.
 
The PCM-5893 / PCM-5893L features CAN Bus, DDR SDRAM which supports up to 512MB.  The LCD supports up to 1280x1024@24bpp with UMA 16MB display memory. As a result, the PCM-5893 / PCM-5893L is more powerful and a high performer.  It also features PC/104 and Mini PCI sockets that work with the entire suite of AAEON’s PC/104 peripheral module and Mini PCI module series.  The PCM-5893 / PCM-5893L is flexible to adapt to legacy or mid-high level devices.  It is robust in electromagnetically noisy environments and expands more to peripheral interfaces.
 
The PCM-5893 / PCM-5893L is an ideal board for applications such as data acquisition, industrial control, thin client reporting that leverage low-power consumption with optimized processor performance.  As the mobile and industrial markets continue to expand, the PCM-5893 / PCM-5893L is an excellent solution for these segments.  As an entry-level product, the PCM-5893 / PCM-5893L is a high performance compact board at a great price that offers a stable, long life cycle with many capabilities.
