The GENE-8315 supports onboard Intel® Celeron® M 1.5GHz/ 1.3GHz or Intel® ULV Celeron® M 1.0GHz 0K L2 cache/ 600MHz 512K L2 cache processor by utilizing the Intel® 852GM + ICH4 chipset.  System memory support is up to 1GB from the 200-pin DDR SODIMM socket. The most significant characteristic of GENE-8315 is the LAN port configuration.  This model accommodates three 10/100Base-TX RJ-45 connectors that are controlled by one Intel® 82562 and two Realtek RTL8100BL Ethernet controllers. This configuration allows for fast network connections and multi-task data transmission on the network.

The GENE-8315 supports CRT/LCD simultaneous/dual view displays to meet the demands of the embedded market while still maintaining cost efficiency.  In addition to the exceptional LAN support, the GENE-8315 offers two serial ports, four USB2.0, one parallel port, PS/2 keyboard/mouse and digital I/O.  The EIDE interface and CompactFlash slot meet the general needs for storage.
