Taipei Taiwan (May 06, 2011)--AAEON, a premier Industrial PC manufacturer, has once again unveiled another eco-friendly solution for the consumer. The Green Embedded Controller series welcomes its newest brother, the GES-2200F.
The GES-2200F is the newest solution to saving energy by utilizing the revolutionary Intel® AtomTM processor with two 200-pin DDR2 667/800 DIMM RAM, allowing up to 4GB of system memory. The GES-2200F features the Intel® AtomTM N450/D410/D510+ICH8M chipset and is equipped with a 2.5” Hard Disk Drive bay with SATA II interface, four USB 2.0 ports, and one CompactFlashTM to offer ample storage.
“This Green Embedded System is certified by ENERGY STAR. ENERGY STAR is an international standard for energy-efficient electronic equipment and is created by the U.S. Environment Protection Agency (EPA). The GES-2200F is compliant with ENERGY STAR regulations,” said Curtis Lai, Product Manager of AAEON’s Industrial System Division. “In practicing eco friendly ideas, the GES-2200F shows green concepts, such as adopting low power Intel ® AtomTM processors, green manufacturing, and environmentally-friendly packaging to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions. The GES-2200F represents the future of products developed by AAEON.”
The GES-2200F is compatible with common operating systems such as Windows® XP, Windows® 7, and Linux. Key highlights include its condensed appearance with desktop and wallmount options to fit into space-limited areas and its ideal application uses for mobile needs and vehicle use such as tractor/truck driving.
This model is powered with a 12V DC in power supply that is required by transportation applications. In addition, it shows the flexibility and cost-effectiveness that can be easily recommended for existing systems or integrated to system planning.
