Data security is critical for all business sizes. Threats such as phishing sites, viruses and fraud continue to grow daily. Thus, ALTELL seOS VT allows businesses to control data completely and securely.
ALTELL seOS VT is a trusted computing architecture that is based on virtualization. By leveraging virtualization features of modern hardware, businesses can isolate codes into separate virtual machines (VMs), extract trustworthy information and discard the rest. One of the advantages from ALTELL seOS VT is the support for VTx/VTd technologies.
Effectively, ALTELL seOS VT separates confidential business data by putting them into their own secure virtual machine that is isolated from other data within the network. With this separation, data leakage is not possible and special software agents monitor user activity to provide additional security. ALTELL seOS VT utilizes user authentication of password, biometrics and smart-card logins to minimize the threats of system intrusion by hackers. Moreover, users can host two virtual machines on a single PC and assign them to different tasks. An example would be one virtual machine for businesses (sensitive and confidential information) while the other machine is used for tasks, web browsing and entertainment.
System Configuration
AAEON's IMBI-QM57 board was selected as the target development platform for the ALTELL seOS VT project due to its compact size, multiple expansion options and low power platform. AAEON made several modifications to the board layout in order to meet the customer's specific requirements. For instance, AAEON reassigned USB controller hubs and customized cables into the board's package. By 2011, AAEON shipped more than 600 systems to customers in Russia.
