Followed by the development of Information technology, attention has been paid to Intelligent Transportation (IT) safety, particularly in military, aviation and government areas. Illegal radio signals are threatening our lives and safety, therefore this company has developed a Digital Radio Signal Detecting System to cope with the above-mentioned problem based on their years of experience and innovative technology. This new system applies the use of a VHF/UHF Detecting application which has been newly introduced; the frequency range for detection is 20~3000 MHz.

 

The original product was developed based on a 4U Chassis, yet with long hours of operation and testing, some technical issues arose:

1.       The size of a 4U Chassis was too large.

2.       During long hours of operation, the CPU fan was vulnerable to failure, which leads to shut-down of CPU, causing the whole system to seize up.

3.       The 168-pin memory module could not bear with the vibration during system access; this problem was obvious while the car was in motion.

4.       It was not suitable for upgrading due to the limited slots and interfaces.

 

Based on the above factors, along with possibility of increased cost for hardware and maintenance from customer’s end, and after putting all factors into consideration, an AAEON Half-size Card HSB-460I appeared to the best choice for them in creating a more convenient and reliable solution.
