The AEC-6820 Embedded Control PC (BOXER) continues the design concepts that yielded the AEC-6810 but it is focused on the intelligent transportation system market. This is a high-performance model equipped with a 1GHz processor up which is superior to all "Fan-Less" products in the current market. The AEC-6810 has withstood tough vibration testing up to 6 G's RMS. Even with the anti-vibration hard drive device option, it can be used in tough high vibration environments .

Two PCMCIA slots provide excellent expandability for mobile devices. These slots provide an ideal interface for wireless applications which need to communicate with a control center for vehicle data recording and transportation system logistics. The BOXER (AEC-6820) supports 9~30V DC power input , making it suitable for most vehicles and factory equipment. This low power consumption system operates without a fan in ambient temperatures ranging from -15o to 70oC. It also passed critical EMC certifications for CE and FCC class B.

This compact size model offers the end user more flexibility and alternatives for system integration and arrangement. The BOXER system supports various operating systems such as Windows CE.NET 4.2, Windows XP Embedded and the normal Windows family.

Besides the ITS (Intelligent Transportation System) market, the AEC-6820 can fulfill applications in the following markets: environment and industrial facility, measurement and relevant Industrial PC (IPC) business.
